Bangalore to Bandipur Taxi

The shortest route from Bangalore to Bandipur is via Mysore Road. It is only 213 kilometers and takes about 4 hours and 10 minutes to finish the journey. The road is in good condition and has regular traffic. As our driver is well experienced, he will drive slowly around the forest area to avoid hurting any animals passing by the road.

The major tourist attractions along this route are Mekedatu and Chunchi falls. Nature lovers can admire the astounding landscape and enjoy the views. You can also offer prayers at Bilikal Rangaswamy Betta, Shivagiri Kshetra Shivalinga Betta, and Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple.

An alternate route between Bangalore and Bandipur is via Jattipalla – Kanakapura Road and Malavalli – Mysore Road. This route is 222 kilometers long and can be covered in 5 hours. In this route, some parts of the road may not be functional at certain times or on some days which our driver from Bangalore Drive will be knowing beforehand. Thus, he will take a call on the route depending on the road conditions.

You can stop over at Ramadevara Betta Hill and Sholay Shooting HillTop to appreciate the region’s natural beauty. Sri Revana Siddeshwara temple, Bheemeshwara Temple, and Renukamba temple are prominent pilgrimage spots along the route.

Another slightly longer alternate route is via National Highway 948. It is 227 kilometers long and takes 4 hours and 50 minutes to cover. This route has tolls on it however, there are several interesting stopovers as well. You can offer prayers at the Sri Srikanteshwara Temple and Nanjangud Ayyappa Temple. Nature lovers can enjoy bird watching at Hadinaru Lake and enjoy the splendid vistas at the Kabini River Bridge.

Bandipur Tiger Reserve And National Park

Bandipur Tiger Reserve and National Park are home to a variety of wildlife, including tigers, leopards, elephants, and more. Previously the hunting grounds of Mysore Maharaja, it is now a reserve under Project Tiger in 1974. The reserve is popular for its beautiful landscapes and scenic views.
